Brick series.

When I tried my hand at amateur filmmaking it was very discouraging and frustrating. I had so many great things I wanted to film problem was no one could make a proper commitment to come out and film. When I gave up on that I was in a lull for awhile but kept writing and keeping any ideas I had not to far away. When I began to brick film it was baby steps at first at what I could do and not to do. But then a couple months into it I realized no more baby steps. I let myself go and began to come up with new and new ideas and revisited a couple of show ideas I had. What's up with Mario is one show that for some reason or another has never been able to get going. Countless attempts in live action never ever got it off the ground after many revisions. And sadly enough when I did it in bricks on January 26, 2011 it was dubbed episode 1 but soon fell under pilot. At one point I will return to Mario and try once again. The next project I went to tackle was a personal favorite of mine and others The HillbillyVampire Hunters.
Unlike Mario the Hillbillies were always ready to go but again it was lack of commitment on others that stalled it. Yes some film was done but sadly not enough. So it was a logical choice to bring them to life in bricks.
It took three episodes but the original Hillbillies who were cast to play the brothers hill finally reunited on episode 3.
Zach and Murray were next and those two were based on a shoot I did with Shrambo Studios creative consultant Paul Cairns. The title of the characters were different and if I am not mistaken it was Murray and Logan. Murray and Logan appeared in a one off that was turned into Beer Run and then an afternoon of random opinions we did. Two episodes in I have been very happy with Zach and Murray and have the next three episodes plotted out.
I am not afraid to try anything new and know there will some hit and misses. But at least now I am able to film what I want and not have to worry about my Lego's calling in sick or not turning up.
Great brick filming to all.
